Welcome to the new Small Cap Strategist weblog. The blog got its start in 2008, when website technologies were far simpler than today. Social media was in its infancy. Google’s Blogspot seemed sophisticated at the time, serving as home for the Small Cap Strategist for over fifteen years.
It is now time to unite the website for Crystal Equity Research and Small-cap Strategist. Some things will not change. The blog will still highlight promising companies and quite a few management teams will get tweaked for questionable strategies and decisions.
The scope of the companies covered may widened beyond the energy and environmental topics that had been the focus for so many years. The blog may also take up public policy more frequently than in the past as politicians in the United States in particular have taken direct aim at fair capital markets and astute natural resource stewardship. The bounds of ethical conduct are also shifting to favor the powerful at the expense of the less fortunate.
